Alopecia Androgenic
Androgenetic alopecia
CordermaPRP® increases the hair density of patients treated for androgenetic alopecia.
In a prospective study1, 20 patients were treated with CordermaPRP® intradermal injections for
androgenetic alopecia.
Three treatment sessions were performed with an interval of 21 days and a booster session at 6 months
following the onset of therapy.
Clinical benefits were evaluated in terms of hair density.
Conclusion
CordermaPRP® treatment restores hair loss to normal levels.
CordermaPRP® can be used in combination with other hair restoration modalities (minoxidil,
finasteride).
In a retrospective study, Ho et al.2 evaluated 24 patients receiving injections of CordermaPRP.
All study patients used topical 5% minoxidil and 83.3% (20/24) used oral antiandrogen medications.
The treatment consisted of a monthly injection of PRP for 6 months followed by injections every 3-6
months. Mean trichoscopic measurements throughout the treatment course (average 6 months; range 2-24
months) were compared to baseline measures.
Conclusion
CordermaPRP® promotes the Cordermaeration of the hair bulb by increasing the blood supply and enhancing follicular cell proliferation, resulting in stronger, denser, and richer hair.
